Stewart joined forces with our MD, Joe, back in 1998 to establish Distag Euro as a growing force in the UK Power Transmission market. During the joint venture with PIX Transmissions, he became the company General Manager of PIX Europe, and was invited to join the board as Operations Director in 2005. When PIX Europe demerged in 2013, Distag re-emerged, and it was back to the original management team. Stewart is based in Ipswich and, with Joe and Sheila, is responsible for all aspects of running, and growing, the business. He is particularly keen on the development of our amazing team, and mentoring them for the exciting challenges in the future. Outside work, he is a keen performing musician, a long-suffering season ticket holder at his beloved Spurs, and even loves to cook when time allows. He loves to travel the world, and the UK, with his wife Bel; but also relishes spending time at home, with their children, grandkids, and many friends (not all at once!).
Rebecca worked part-time for Distag QCS from June 2006, while at university, focusing mainly on sales and in March 2011, Rebecca took up the role of Commercial Manager. Rebecca has a degree in Law and manages all aspects of HR, Recruitment, Employment Law and Staff Training. In addition to this she is responsible for Marketing & PR, Commercial Contracts, Internal Auditing and overseeing the Internal Sales Team at Ipswich, working closely to support the team in providing the best possible service to our customers. Rebecca enjoys keeping fit, regularly going to the gym & attending fitness classes. She also enjoys singing and loves to travel.
Nigel joined the company in the early days at Distag Euro Ltd, based in Halstead Essex, and has been with us throughout our growth. He has always had particular interest in the distribution side of our business and in our early days was responsible for the setting up of our authorised distribution partner network. His current role as Aftermarket Sales Manager allows him to focus on sales as well as to help mentor our sales team. He has a wealth of experience in our product range and the UK distribution trade. Nigel believes passionately in customer service and our partner network. Nigel is keen on landscape and wildlife photography and in his spare time can often be seen walking round the local countryside with his wife Teresa and his trusty Cannon camera. He also enjoys cooking, eating good food (too much sometimes) and the occasional Gin & Tonic.
Brian joined us in August 2014. He works in support of our Business Development Managers, with special responsibility for developing our growing OEM business. Brian provides technical assistance and customer support across our range of products as well as providing training when required. He is a graduate of Dublin City University, where he studied Engineering with Business. In tandem with his studies, Brian has worked with a number of OEMs, gaining experience across the engineering and manufacturing sectors. Brian is a sports and health fanatic, spending most of his spare time either partaking or watching everything sport related. Brian is based in the Ipswich office, but is available for customer visits, if any technical assistance is required.
Joanne joined us in February 2005, bringing with her, a wealth of experience from working within the Power Transmission Industry. Her initial role was Business Development Manager, looking after our OEM customer base. Joanne is now responsible for the account management of our OEM customers throughout the UK. Joanne loves to travel and has recently returned from Mexico! She also really enjoys keeping fit and often enters various fitness challenges, including the Great British Swim! Joanne is based outside of the office and spends the majority of her time out on the road visiting customers.
Vicky joined Distag QCS in March 2007 as a Sales Assistant. Throughout her time with us, Vicky has gained experience in the account management of most of our customer bases, inc. Export, UK Distribution and OEM. Vicky completed an NVQ Level 2 in Customer Services in 2008 and is currently working towards achieving an NVQ Level 2 in Engineering Technical Support. Vicky is currently responsible for the internal account management of all our OEM customers, working closely with the Business Development Managers, based out in the field. Vicky's 4 year old son Dominic occupies most of her spare time, but she also really enjoys cooking and socialising with family and friends. Vicky loves to travel and recently got married in Perth, Australia!
William joined Distag as a Sales Engineer in August 2018. He has experience in a wide range of engineering management roles – From Quality assurance to customer technical support. His responsibilities now include; returns investigation and bespoke product design for OEM’s. If he’s not on the track racing or repairing his track car, Will can be found instructing and racing others on sailboats.
Sam joined us in June 2014, after leaving school, as an Internal Sales Apprentice. He quickly progressed to the role of Internal Account Manager, working closely in support our UK Aftermarket Business Development Managers. Sam is also responsible for the UK Aftermarket Internal Team and oversees all day-to-day sales & customer services activities. Sam recently achieved his Level 2 Certificate in Customer Services with West Suffolk College. Sam is a keen footballer and is an active member of our Distag QCS 5-A-Side Football team!
Tanya joined us in November 2010 as a sales coordinator, specialising in Hydraulic sales. She has since progressed to the role of Internal Account Manager, working closely in support of Andy Green, who is our field-based BDM in the South & South East. As the most senior member of the Aftermarket Internal Sales Team, Tanya's role also includes the supervision and support of the other team members. Tanya has a young family, which occupies most of her spare time! She also enjoys keeping fit and singing in a band from time to time as well!
Catherine joined Distag QCS in July 2010 as an Apprentice in our Purchasing Department at Ipswich. Catherine completed an Apprenticeship in Business & Administration and has since continued her studies and is currently at professional diploma level on the way to achieving her membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply. Catherine enjoys the challenge of obstacle races, having already completed The Obstacle, The Whole Hog and more recently Tough Mudder, she is looking to add to this list in the near future. Catherine spends her free time unwinding with friends and family, and loves being kept busy and on her toes by her son Kenzie.
Adam joined Distag QCS in September 2016 as an apprentice in the Purchasing Department and is now close to completing an NVQ level 2 in business administration. Adam is in charge of the company’s Quality Management System and had a big part to play in helping Distag QCS Ltd maintain our ISO 9001 certification. Adam is a big Chelsea fan and has followed them through all their ups and downs, as well as their constant change of managers. Adam also plays lawn bowls in his spare time and has been successful at county and national level.
Mohana joined Distag QCS in June 2009 and assumed the very busy position of Finance Manager. An ACCA member accountant, working towards achieving Fellowship, Mohana controls all of the day-to-day finance functions for all branches. Mohana is originally from India and enjoys travelling and cooking. She is also a keen football fan and a big Liverpool supporter! Mohana enjoys keeping fit and takes part in fitness classes at the gym regularly.
Samantha joined us in June 2010 as an Apprentice in the Finance Department. During her time at Distag QCS, Samantha has gained her NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration and has more recently achieved her AAT qualification. Samantha is currently responsible for the credit control aspect of the department, along with assisting in all day-to-day functions. Samantha enjoys swimming and walking at the weekend and in her spare time she loves to socialise with her friends and family.
Matt joined us in January 2013 as I.T. Manager and has made considerable improvements to our I.T Systems in the last 2 years, becoming a vital part of the Distag QCS Team! He manages all aspects of the I.T and communication systems for all of our locations, providing onsite and remote support to all members of staff, based in and out of the office. Matt is a keen football fan and a big Southampton F.C. Supporter! He is also a member of our 5-a-side football team! Matt is based at the Ipswich office
Sebastian, more fondly known as 'Seb', joined Distag QCS in March 2007 as a Warehouse Assistant. Seb quickly progessed to the role of Warehouse Supervisor and became the Warehouse Manager in October 2013. Seb is responsible for all the day-to-day functions and administration of the Ipswich Warehouse. He works closely with the sales team to facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the daily workload and ensure that we meet the delivery requirements of our customers. From Poland originally, Seb is a keen footballer and plays a strong position in goal for our Distag QCS 5-A-Side Football team. Seb enjoys spending time with his family and carrying out renovations to his house!
Marion is one of our longstanding warehouse team members, originally joined the Distag team in 2006, he returned to his home country of Slovakia for a few years, but then came back to the UK in January 2014 and re-joined the Distag team as a Warehouse Assistant. His role includes the picking and packing of orders, receiving in new stock, replenishing shelf stock and all other day to day warehouse duties. Marion is a big ice hockey fan, he likes the 'great outdoors' and enjoys going for long walks in the countryside.
Stuart Joined Distag QCS in February 2016, having had previous experience as a hydraulic technician. Stuart makes hydraulic hose to order and picks fittings for dispatch. Stuart has also previously worked as a saw mill operative. In his free time, Stuart enjoys relaxing. You can often find him playing on his PlayStation, reading comics, or watching TV.
Lee joined Distag QCS after working at Amtek Witham. With experience in engineering and foundry work, Lee was a perfect fit for the warehouse team. Lee is responsible for cutting belts to size, as well as assisting with stock control and picking. In his free time, Lee loves nothing more than spending time with his family, and his cats. Lee is also an avid music fan, and can be found venturing to Spain to soak up the sun.
Daniel joined Distag QCS in November 2017, after having experience as a hydraulic purchaser and hydraulic sales engineer. Prior to this, Daniel had worked as a landscape gardener. Daniel is responsible for picking and packing of hydraulic orders, hydraulic stock control, and assisting with deliveries. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys running, golf, travelling, watching films, and following his favorite football team Norwich City Football Club.
Jack joined Distag QCS in January 2017, having experience in construction, gardening and landscaping, painting and decorating, delivery and as a handyman. Jack is responsible for picking daily orders, stock control, cutting hose to length, packing and wrapping pallets, and unloading containers. Jack loves nothing more spending time with family, especially his children. Jack also enjoys going out for meals, listening to reggae music, riding motorcycles, playing football and fishing.
Aaron joined Distag QCS Ipswich warehouse team in June 2018. As a Warehouse Assistant, Aaron manages new stock when it is delivered and picks customer orders as well as a host of other day-to-day warehouse responsibilities. Aaron likes to spend his spare time with his friends and family, watching movies and playing pool.
Bradley joined Distag QCS in April 2018 as a Warehouse Apprentice. Having previous experience working in a warehousing environment in the retail sector. Bradley is responsible for picking daily orders, stock control, cutting hose to length, packing and wrapping pallets, and unloading containers. In his spare time, Bradley enjoys spending time with friends, socialising or enjoying a game of football at his local ground. Bradley likes to visit new places and experience new things, often with his family.
