Stewart joined forces with our MD, Joe, back in 1998 to establish Distag Euro as a growing force in the UK Power Transmission market. During the joint venture with PIX Transmissions, he became the company General Manager of PIX Europe, and was invited to join the board as Operations Director in 2005. When PIX Europe demerged in 2013, Distag re-emerged, and it was back to the original management team. Stewart is based in Ipswich and, with Joe and Sheila, is responsible for all aspects of running, and growing, the business. He is particularly keen on the development of our amazing team, and mentoring them for the exciting challenges in the future. Outside work, he is a keen performing musician, a long-suffering season ticket holder at his beloved Spurs, and even loves to cook when time allows. He loves to travel the world, and the UK, with his wife Bel; but also relishes spending time at home, with their children, grandkids, and many friends (not all at once!).
Rebecca worked part-time for Distag QCS from June 2006, while at university, focusing mainly on sales and in March 2011, Rebecca took up the role of Commercial Manager. Rebecca has a degree in Law and manages all aspects of HR, Recruitment, Employment Law and Staff Training. In addition to this she is responsible for Marketing, PR and Social Media for the Company and is currently working on the development of the new Distag QCS website! Rebecca also looks after the Internal Sales Team at Ipswich, working closely to support the team in providing the best possible service to our customers. Rebecca enjoys keeping fit and taking part in obstacle runs, with other members of the Distag QCS team! She also enjoys singing and currently sings with a couple of groups in Ipswich, she is also planning to start doing gigs in venues around Ipswich soon with her sister, Tanya.
Joanne joined us in February 2005, bringing with her, a wealth of experience from working within the Power Transmission Industry. Her initial role was Business Development Manager, looking after our OEM customer base. Joanne is now responsible for the account management of all our customers in the Midlands. Recently, Joanne was promoted to the role of senior BDM, as part of this role, she mentors and assists our other BDM's. Joanne loves to travel and has recently returned from Mexico! She also really enjoys keeping fit and often enters various fitness challenges, including the Great British Swim! Joanne is based outside of the office and spends the majority of her time out on the road visiting customers.
Andy joined the Distag QCS in October 2015, having worked in power transmission and mechanical engineering since leaving school. Andy looks after our customers in the South East and East Anglia. He has a wide range of interests, writing for, and performing in local ameteur dramatic society productions, walking, architecture and he collects old model cars. He has travelled extensively in the last few years but nearer to home he enjoys spending time with his granddaughters Elodie and Zoe. He has supported Hull City FC for years, through their many ups and downs!
Brian joined us in August 2014. He works in support of our Business Development Managers, with special responsibility for developing our growing OEM business. Brian provides technical assistance and customer suppport across our range of products as well as providing training when required. He is a graduate of Dublin City University, where he studied Engineering with Business. In tandem with his studies, Brian has worked with a number of OEMs, gaining experience across the engineering and manufacturing sectors. Brian is a sports and health fanatic, spending most of his spare time either partaking or watching everything sport related. Brian is based in the Ipswich office, but is available for customer visits, if any technical assistance is required.
Vicky joined Distag QCS in March 2007 as a Sales Assistant. Throughout her time with us, Vicky has gained experience in the account management of most of our customer bases, inc. Export, UK Distribution and OEM. Vicky completed an NVQ Level 2 in Customer Services in 2008 and is currently working towards achieving an NVQ Level 2 in Engineering Technical Support. Vicky is currently responsible for the internal account management of all our OEM customers, working closely with the Business Development Managers, based out in the field. Vicky's 4 year old son Dominic occupies most of her spare time, but she also really enjoys cooking and socialising with family and friends. Vicky loves to travel and recently got married in Perth, Australia!
Tanya joined us in November 2010 as a sales coordinator, specialising in Hydraulic sales. She has since progressed to the role of Internal Account Manager, working closely in support of Andy Green, who is our field-based BDM in the South & South East. As the most senior member of the Aftermarket Internal Sales Team, Tanya's role also includes the supervision and support of the other team members. Tanya has a young family, which occupies most of her spare time! She also enjoys keeping fit and singing in a band from time to time as well!
Sam joined us in June 2014, after leaving school, as an Internal Sales Apprentice. He quickly progressed to the role of Internal Account Manager, working closely in support of Joanne Toon, who is our field-based BDM in the Midlands. Sam recently achieved his Level 2 Certificate in Customer Services with West Suffolk College. Sam is a keen footballer and is an active member of our Distag QCS 5-A-Side Football team!
Abraham joined us in September 2014 as an Apprentice in our Internal Sales Team at Ipswich. He quickly progressed to the role of Internal Account Manager, working closely in support of Jon Chew, who is our field based BDM in the North of England and Scotland. Abraham is currently studying to achieve his Level 2 certificate in Customer Services as part of his Apprenticeship with West Suffolk College. Abraham is a keen football fan, he enjoys playing for the Distag QCS 5-A-Side team on Monday evenings and he is a big Liverpool FC supporter! Abraham also enjoys keeping fit in his spare time and goes to the gym regularly.
David joined us in October 2007 with years of experience working in Logistics, Stock Control & Purchasing Management roles. David is responsible for all of our logistics requirements plus the purchasing and stock management of Belts, Hydraulic Hose and Powerdrive product across all locations. David is a keen sports fan. He has played a good level of cricket and captained both Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury Cricket Clubs. He is now a season ticket holder at Ipswich Town FC, keenly follows both his local Rugby Club in Sudbury and the English national fifteen and can sometimes be found hacking his way around a golf course. He also enjoys travelling with his wife Sally, sampling food and drink wherever the sun shines around the world.
Catherine joined Distag QCS in July 2010 as an Apprentice in our Purchasing Department at Ipswich. Catherine completed an Apprenticeship in Business & Administration and has since continued her studies and is currently at professional diploma level on the way to achieving her membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply. Catherine enjoys the challenge of obstacle races, having already completed The Obstacle, The Whole Hog and more recently Tough Mudder, she is looking to add to this list in the near future. Catherine spends her free time unwinding with friends and family, and loves being kept busy and on her toes by her son Kenzie.
Mohana joined Distag QCS in June 2009 and assumed the very busy position of Finance Manager. An ACCA member accountant, working towards achieving Fellowship, Mohana controls all of the day-to-day finance functions for all branches. Mohana is originally from India and enjoys travelling and cooking. She is also a keen football fan and a big Liverpool supporter! Mohana enjoys keeping fit and takes part in fitness classes at the gym regularly.
Samantha joined us in June 2010 as an Apprentice in the Finance Department. During her time at Distag QCS, Samantha has gained her NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration and has more recently achieved her AAT qualification. Samantha is currently responsible for the credit control aspect of the department, along with assisting in all day-to-day functions. Samantha enjoys swimming and walking at the weekend and in her spare time she loves to socialise with her friends and family.
Matt joined us in January 2013 as I.T. Manager and has made considerable improvements to our I.T Systems in the last 2 years, becoming a vital part of the Distag QCS Team! He manages all aspects of the I.T and communication systems for all of our locations, providing onsite and remote support to all members of staff, based in and out of the office. Matt is a keen football fan and a big Southampton F.C. Supporter! He is also a member of our 5-a-side football team! Matt is based at the Ipswich office
Sebastian, more fondly known as 'Seb', joined Distag QCS in March 2007 as a Warehouse Assistant. Seb quickly progessed to the role of Warehouse Supervisor and became the Warehouse Manager in October 2013. Seb is responsible for all the day-to-day functions and administration of the Ipswich Warehouse. He works closely with the sales team to facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the daily workload and ensure that we meet the delivery requirements of our customers. From Poland originally, Seb is a keen footballer and plays a strong position in goal for our Distag QCS 5-A-Side Football team. Seb enjoys spending time with his family and carrying out renovations to his house!
Matt joined us in September 2010 as a Warehouse Apprentice. He successfully completed his Level 2 Apprenticeship in Warehousing & Storage and has recently been promoted to the role of Warehouse Supervisor. As part of his new role he assists the Warehouse Manager, Seb, with all aspects of the day to day running of the warehouse at Ipswich. Matt is a keen boxer and has held two regional titles! He is also interested in other sports he likes motorsports and is a big fan of Moto GP and enjoys watching and playing Rugby.
Russell joined Distag in August 2015 as part of our exciting new expansion project at Ipswich. Russell joined us with a wealth of hydraulic knowledge, he is a skilled hose assembler, having spent most of his career working within the industry. Russell works closely with our Warehouse Manager, Sebastian and is responsible for the brand new state of the art hose assembly facility at the Ipswich office. Having recently moved to Needham Market with his wife and 2 daughters, Russell is now enjoying the 'outdoor life', he is a keen gardener and is hoping to join the local archery club and start canoeing soon! Russell also spends a lot of his spare time with his family, one of his daughters is at university in Greenwich and the other is a talented athlete, who has recently been selected to represent Suffolk & Norfolk playing Netball!
Marion is one of our longstanding warehouse team members, originally joined the Distag team in 2006, he returned to his home country of Slovakia for a few years, but then came back to the UK in January 2014 and re-joined the Distag team as a Warehouse Assistant. His role includes the picking and packing of orders, receiving in new stock, replenishing shelf stock and all other day to day warehouse duties. Marion is a big ice hockey fan, he likes the 'great outdoors' and enjoys going for long walks in the countryside.
Tommy joined the Distag Warehouse team as an Apprentice in July 2015. He is currently studying to achieve a Level 2 certificate in Warehousing and Storage with West Suffolk College. His role includes the picking and packing of orders, in particular Tommy is responsible for belt cutting. Tommy is a keen football fan he supports Tottenham and his local team, Ipswich!
